Europe's most modern large hill at the Schwarzberg in Klingenthal
In summer 2006 the most modern ski jump in Europe located at the foot of the mountain Schwarzberg was opened. Since then it offers attractive training and competition conditions to both national and international athletes. In addition, the ski jump area is used for cultural big events throughout the year. Due to its lift and jumping tower it has also become a popular sightseeing destination. Tourists can reach the "flying" capsule, used as viewing platform and situated at the jumping tower at a height of 35 metres, by taking the "Wie-Li" lift and the ski jump lift.
